11 Must Have Make-up Brushes

Make-up Brush Confusion Smashed

If your anything like me learning how to apply makeup is like taking on a job that you never got proper training for. You end up only doing the parts of the job you're comfortable with (eyeliner, lip gloss/lipstick, and getting your eyebrows done), while you stick extra close to someone that knows the job (YouTube) in hopes that you'll pick up on how to do the job well enough not to get fired (walking around looking like Kathy Kinney's character Mimi Bobeck from the Drew Carey Show.

My major battle with going beyond my basic makeup application was figuring out all the different brushes. Over time with enough YouTubing and research I was able to stop getting on my daughters' nerves, asking them stuff like. What do you use that brush for? Why can't you use the same brush? Why can't you use that brush for that, they look the same, etc?

My hope is that the following information below will help someone take their makeup journey from basic makeup application to a snatched (perfect) makeup application.

Five Brushes Used For Eye Makeup Application:

Eye Blending Brush (for blending eyeshadow in the creases of your eyelid for a smokey eye look. It can also be used to blend multiple shades of eyeshadow together.)

All Over Eye Shadow Brush (to apply eyeshadow across the whole eyelid evenly.)

Smudger Brush (helps you apply eyeshadow where you want it without a mess.)

Angled Eyeliner Brush (used to precisely line the eyes and to create a cat eye.)

Lash/Brow Comb/Brush (The side with the small, plastic comb is used for removing mascara clumps from lashes. The bristled side is for grooming eyebrows.)

 {All featured brushes can be found HERE at my Avon eStore.}

Other brushes needed to create that awesome makeup look that you want to achieve:

Foundation Brush (Use to smooth liquid or cream foundation for a streak-free application.)

Concealer Brush (Use to pinpoint specific areas that need extra coverage, like small spots and blemishes.)

 Contouring Brush (Used to chisel and define, for targeted contouring and creating strong, sculpted looks.)

Powder Brush (The long, fluffy bristles are used to evenly diffuse loose powders.)

Kabuki Brush (Is used to softly apply bronzers and powders, and for evenly distributing product across your face.)

Angled Blush Brush (Its angled bristles make it easier to apply products perfectly to your cheekbones.)
